Be bold and move forward with confidence. And that is precisely what I will choose to do today. It's here. Today is the day I throw myself to the wolverines of fitness snobbery (so I'm told) and show them what I'm made of. Although I have been preparing for this day for two months now I still feel like I could poop my pants. What the heck am I talking about? Have you heard of the current fitness fad called "Ballet Barre"? (And other various names.) Well I have created my own version and today is the day I present (teach) to all my fitness friends at an uppity up fitness joint. I'm excited, anxious, scared, and most of all thrilled to have the opportunity to teach two of my passions combined into one dose. Ballet AND toning together. AWESOME! I feel so lucky and blessed to be able to share with other fitness enthusiasts like myself. And more so I am thankful for a trusting boss who believes that I can do it and do it well. And that's my latest project. Wish me luck. Trust me. Teaching on a stage, in tight pants, with a crowd of hot chicks staring at you ain't as easy as it looks my friends.
P.S. Gig Harbor, WA fitness peeps...miss you dearly!
My oh my it's excellent and I'm pretty sure you will think it's excellent too!
It's such a great scent to welcome fall.
Check out all the other scents here. Almond and coconut are lusciously divine as well.
It's Trendy Tuesday...
Do you DARE smell amazing?
I hope so because girls aren't supposed to be stinky. However, the lady next to me in barbell class yesterday, STINKY! She had a serious case of the toots. Gag! I wanted to cover my nose with my shirt but thought that might be too obvious.
Throw out your Bath and Body Works crap:) and indulge in a bottle of luxuriousness. It's good stuff and your skin will love you for it.
Oh Tuesdays. Not a fan of the Tuesday at my house.
Lots of lessons, lots of car rides and lots of "hurry ups". After school yesterday Lucy was sure that the world was coming to an end. She was starving to death, her brother was looking at her gross, she claimed to have forgotten how to put on her shoes, her ballet outfit was disgusting (that's her new word for everything) and then the (fake) tears came pouring out. I was done. Had had it. Checked out. You know what I said to her?
"If you don't stop whining right now then I'm going to stick this hot pad up your bum."
Yes. Yes I did. And then of course waved the hot pad with furry in the air so she knew I meant business (hot pad because at my cracking moment I was taking dinner out of the oven).
Kelson starting laughing because of what I had said.
I started laughing because Kels was laughing at me and my lunatic moment.
Berks started laughing because he could.
Lucy had to cry (fake) tears even harder and louder because we were laughing "at her".
This trend gets me all sorts of excited from head to toe~literally. Brooches: Fancy spelling for fanciness! You can add them to your hat or add them to a shoe. You can also add them to everything in between (scarf, lapel, shoulders, collar, waist, belt). How could one not love being drenched in jewels?
Once upon a time during my younger years brooches were smashing. Mostly worn at the tippy top of a button down. Darn. Why did I ever downsize my accessory collection? Watch the clip below for somebrooch inspiration. Brooches aren't just for your Granny. Check your local antique store for some unique beauties. My friend just picked up THE COOLEST jewel encrusted turtle brooch. Funny thing, I was drooling over it to actually wear. She on the other hand would never wear such an ugly thing. She bought it to turn it into a pushpin for her cork board. Might have to steal it from her!
It's TrEnDy TuEsDaY...Do you DARE?
P.S. I totally heart the first outfit in this video. Tartan plaid + denim + scarf + brooch=genius.

It has been busy around our house lately. Nothing out of the ordinary. You know how it goes. Life with kids, extra activities, and many other this and thats have been sucking up all the free time. It's all exhausting in a good way. At least that's what I tell myself.
