Because Shoes Matter!

I took this picture at my brother's wedding last summer. After a little photo editing, I framed it and gave a copy to all my nieces and sisters for Christmas. If you are not familiar with photobucket I recommend playing around with it. It's fun!

Shoes...a girl's best friend!
P.S. I'm pretty sure I could conquer the world in a pair of THESE.

It's Trendy Tuesday...Do You Dare?

Here's a trend for ya...

Could someone please notify the home decor retail world (Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross, etc) that it is REALLY annoying when they put the price stickers on the front. I dare you! Not quite sure the reasoning behind this (anyone know). To me, common sense says place it on the back. GRrr! Thank goodness for the inventor of Goo Gone. Which mine is nowhere to be found...of course. And where might I be hanging a hot pink mirror? Guess!:D

Mission Accomplished!

Hear yea! Hear yea! I would like to make an announcement. My royal castle has officially been completely de-Christmasfied. (Except for one ornament that was hiding. And all the boxes have been put to sleep in the garage-dang! That always happens to me.) Once Christmas is gone this is the time of year I always rearrange my house. So, while hubs was on the phone, Kels and I moved all kinds of furniture. It was fun! And now I have a whole new look without spending a dime. (I'll share pics tomorrow) However, that doesn't keep me from wishing. :D Below you will find all kinds of goodies that I could fill my home with. All these come from Urban Outfitters.

I seriously want THIS poster. I think it's freakin hilarious. I LOVE randomness & personality in a home. Are you matchy matchy-sofa, loveseat, chair all the same? Or a quirky crazy? In my opinion...the quirkier the better! Do a room a favor. Don't place all the furniture flat against the wall. And my number one decorating pet peeve...pictures that are hung too high. Eye level people!
It's Monday! Make it a great one!

It's FFF (Fabulous Fashion Friday)

I enjoy a good makeover! So I had 5 seconds to myself last night and I watched a DVR'd episode of Oprah. The guest was Rita Wilson (totally hot at age 50+ BTW) and she was doing makeovers. GIRLY FUN TIMES! It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful women can be when they take a moment to think about them. Life changing I tell ya. Hair color, a new pair of glasses and a pretty scarf go a LONG way. Anyway, there was this guy on the show who said something I found to be profound:

GET CUTE FOR YOU!

(He was specifically referring to those who stay at home and use the excuse.... I stay at home, who cares.)

Quit pretending. You care! Take 10 extra minutes and GET CUTE FOR YOU today! You will act like a different little lady.

Quick "get cute" ideas:
*Lip gloss
*Ditch the tennis shoes and wear your Sunday shoes
* Put on a bangle...or two
* Hoop earrings
* Kick it up with a cutie headband. I can hook you up here. More stock coming soon. ;D
* Wear a sweater instead of a sweatshirt
*Skirt and boots in place of jeans
*Add a scarf or hat or both!
*Loose the PJ's. Get dressed.
* My favorite~put a smile on.

Click here to see a cute little clip. Enjoy your weekend princesses. Do something cute for you!

Not Yet

Zero progress. But I did try on these two things at Target yesterday. I wanted both. I needed neither. They were cute though! Off to Christmas tree central I go~maybe~still not in the mood.

This is PAINFUL!

I can't. I just can't do it. Save me someone. HELP...I'm drowning. YUCK! I absolutely can't bring myself to take Christmas down. Ya, you heard me right. My house is STILL a winter wonderland with 8 rubber maids hanging out on the sides begging to be filled.

Yep, tree still up.
Wreath on the door.
Lights on the outside.

The other night Lucy plugged the tree in and I quickly unplugged it for fear that someone might see. Mind you, the decor is not still up because I can't let go of the Holiday season. Na, I was over that Dec. 26. I'm just lazy. Totally lazy! And, I also fear what projects will haunt me once all the decor is down and the house looks bare (comparatively speaking).

That's it. I gotta go. I am not allowed to blog until my house has been deChristmasfied. See you in April-KIDDING... I hope.

P.S. Here's your TRENDY TUESDAY! Don't spend too much virtual $$ !

Wishing...

I had a quick moment to browse through Nords ALONE this weekend. That would be me, by myself, no children, zero distractions. Me, in the ZONE and the opportunity to WISH. (If you got your Jan. 2010 Nords catalog most of these items can be found in there. )

Will work for watch! The match all watch. This is the one thing I am determined to get myself. (My $15 Target one I bought last spring is falling apart. Darn!) Anyone need a toilet scrubbed? I'll do it for a mere $99. That's a steal!;D

I think this is the jacket I deserve after my last North Face was stolen a couple months ago. I'm still bitter! Can you blame me? I HATE North Face jacket stealers.

Lime green please. OR blue. Or yellow.
Freakin' killer cute! Cute with skirts. Cute with shorts. Cute with leggings. Cute with your underwear! CUTE! CUTE! CUTE!

OMG (oh my gosh) These are so trendy darling!

Welcome to Miami. I've always wanted to wear a fedora. Perhaps this spring I'll splurge on one. All of these goodies can be found at Nordstrom.com. My reality: I came home with a pair of athletic socks. Happy Wishing!
