It's Trendy Tuesday (or Wednesday)...Do You Dare?

I smell a yummy pair of BOOTS in the air!

BOOT-A-Licious Boots! OH MY...help me! I think I may have a serious addiction problem on my hands. As I was searching for today's Trendy Tuesday (or Wednesday:D) feature I found myself coveting every pair of BOOTS I laid my brown eyes on. Beautiful boots. Pretty boots. Sassy boots. Tall boots. Shorty boots. Suede, animal print, wedged, buttons, cozy, distressed, dressy, round toe, square heel...HELP...I can't stop. I need rehab. However, the good news is I'm only allowed to shop with my pretend charge card in my imaginary boot world with my imaginary boot loving friend named Gary, who of course roots for the other team because any boot appreciating man in this world would either be a Wrangler wearing cowboy or Hell's Angel. Not that that's a bad thing but, you get my drift.
Conclusion: I can't think of a better way to top off the perfect outfit...add BOOTS!
P.S. Here's the boot snob coming out. I've said this before and I'll say it again. Cheap boots look like cheap boots. Save the $$$ for a nice quality pair of boots. They'll be worth every box of Mac-N-Cheese you'll have to eat due to the "quality" boot purchase!
BTW: If you live in WA you've had a chance to dust off those boots. STUPID rain! STUPID 60 degrees! STUPID piece of buttered toast I dropped on my UGG boot this morning!

Hmm... I just cannot wrap my fashion brain around THESE yet. What do you think?
P.S.S.S and maybe another S. No new computer yet. This one decides to work when it's in a good mood so I can't bring myself to buy a new one. Even though most days it takes a good 15 min. just to navigate to a new web page~fabulous! NOT!

This Is Serious Business

Mall Cop!

It's Trendy Tuesday...Do You Dare?

A little sniff sniff here, a little sniff sniff there...

I love it when someone walks into my house and asks, "Wow, what's that smell?" (Note: It's generally not fresh baking bread or warm chocolate cake. No, not in my house. Not unless they make it in a candle that is.:D) I've posted before about my favorite Bath and Body Works plug ins but I've got a new one for you today. At Costco they sell these "smelly sticks" as my children call them and I've always wanted to try them so I picked up a set the other day. I chose Mango Vanilla and Olive Rosemary. (Those may not be the exact names. I threw the packaging out but it's pretty close.) They are quite delightful. My hubs who hates my obsession with all things smelly even commented on the Rosemary Olive one! For $20 you can have two of your favorite scents too-they have others to choose from as well.
SO...
Make your day a scentful one. However, NO PATCHOULI ALLOWED!-icky!

Here it is Monday again. I think I'm currently the laziest person on the face of the planet. I don't want to do anything. Period.

Cooking-ick
Cleaning-barf
Being a mom-I'm too tired
Serving-um, not really in the mood
Laying by the pool-can I?

Here's to doing your best not to make your Monday a manic one. :D

Maybe THIS little lovely from etsy.com would help. I love this designer's stuff~affordable fanciness!

Just Peachy!

A little summer delight! About a year ago a good girlfriend invited us over for dinner (she's an incredible cook btw!) and served us this AMAZING dessert. Since it's peach season I thought I'd share it with you. My family can down the whole thing in one sitting. It truly is delightful! Enjoy!

Peach Buckle
(Recipe is slightly confusing the first time you make it.)
6 c. peaches-thickly sliced and peeled
1 T. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1 T. cornstarch
Mix together above ingredients and put into a 2 quart casserole dish.

First Topping:
1 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
In bowl, mix these ingredients. Then in second bowl, beat 4 T. softened butter and 1/3 c. sugar. Then beat in 1 large egg. On low, alternately beat in flour mixture and 1/4 c. milk.

Second Topping:
2 T. flour
2 T. packed brown sugar
1/4 t. cinnamon
1 T. butter
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and cinnamon. Then rub in butter until crumbly. Spoon batter over filling. Top with brown sugar mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 min. until bubbly and golden brown.

NOTE: This recipe seems much more complicated than it really is. It could be a little more clearly written. BUT, give it a try. I promise you won't regret it. It is soooo good!

Other random happenings:

Lucy leaves me presents all around the house at least 85 times a day. Clothes...sure, underwear too...I don't know? I'm pretty sure she'll need to go live with an auntie the day she turns 13!

My prince picked this up for me at Tiffany's the other day. How thoughtful of him. Alright, alright, I picked it up at the Rack for fifteen bucks! Bling bling ring ring...I love it!

Chirp~found this little "tray" of sunlight at IKEA. Cutie!

And, slowly but surely... Lucy's new room. Looks a bit like a cotton candy combo pack from the county fair. Thank you hubs for kicking it in gear and picking up MY slack. XOXO

It's FRIDAY...don't you love the sound of that?

P.S. The next time someone asks you how you're doing say, "Just peachy!". However, there is a degree of sarcasm to that statement no matter how seriously stated. Wouldn't you agree?:D
