Thrifty Gifty!

First of all, I did not come up with this CLEVER idea. I pretend to be clever!:D
Anyway...here ya go.
Step 1: Go to your local Goodwill. Preferably on 50% off day!
Step 2: Find a candlestick ($1.99)

Step 3: Find a Mini Plate (.99 cents)

Step4: Buy E-6000 the glue that holds it all. (Michael's)

Step 5: Generously go around the rim of the candlestick with glue, stick the plate on top and let dry.

And VOILA- A multi-functional mini cake plate. I'm going to visit our local cupcake store and top my mini cake plates with single Holiday cupcakes all wrapped together in cellophane and a big red bow. Hello Cupcake places their cupcakes in clear single containers which will make this mini babe absolutely perfect. P.S. Next time I create these I will probably get shorter candlesticks.

Happy creating!

Wouldn't you agree...anything MINI is always adorable!

Especially my MINI muffin Lulu.

It's really almost here? HOW?

A peek at my decked out halls....
Our tradition~gingerbread house. Pre-fab from Costco...of course.

My clearance tree. Got pretty much everything on this tree (including the tree) last year at 75% off. I was so excited to put it up this year. Loving it in my black and red kitchen.

Here's an idea. I took a strand of jumbo white globe lights and tied red tulle and mini ornaments around the cord. After looking at this pic it looks kinda dumb but hopefully the real thing is cuter??:D

Candy canes...my fav! Garland~fancy smancy!

Glass Jars-a staple decor piece at my house. I Had a third one with this collection but I just broke the dumb thing on Saturday~crap! BTW: Those are my children's art projects and if I grab another almondless Kiss out of that bowl I'm totally going to return them~rip off!

Ha, would you look at that. I actually put up more garland WITH lights.
(I don't enjoy hanging garland!)

Merry Christmas!
How come there aren't any packages under the tree for me yet? Oh yes, Santa picks them up on Christmas Eve.
What's your favorite Christmas decoration?
P.S. Be sure to check back tomorrow (maybe). I've got a clever THRIFTY gift idea for you! I have to make mine first though to see if it's gonna work~hee hee!

It's Trendy Tuesday...Do You Dare?

JEGGINGS!
{jean leggings}

Ultimate comfort, TRENDY girliness and more than affordable.
These are my latest purchase and THEY ARE THE GREATEST! "Jeggings"! Funny little name but a fabulous invention by HUE (A brand I have thoroughly enjoyed for years!) They look like jeans but have the comfort of leggings. Pair with something that covers your butt (I don't care how cute your butt may be, it's not cute in leggings) and boots or flats and you are a fashionista in TRENDY, stylish comfort. You can find these in the hosiery section (got mine at Nords) or click HERE to pick yourself up a pair. Do it! Trust me, you won't regret it.
Buy! Buy! Buy! I DARE you.
P.S. The blue demin were cute, but in my opinion black is always a better choice when it comes to this style of clothing.

Nothing

I am stumped. I have nothing to write about. I must have fried my brains with silly life happenings such as:

1. Twirly Tutu dance recitals.
2. An overflowing toilet~UGH! It leaked through our new kitchen ceiling. Not cool!
3. Etsy creations in which I have no time to list.
4. Ebay searches for stupid zhu zhu pets. If I lose another bid by .50 cents I think I'll scream!
5. Maraschino cherry chocolate dipping at 3am.
6. Christmas card creating that I gave up on. Sorry, no cards this year!
7. Tossing and turning in bed fretting about nothing.
8. Annoyed by Kelson's dead frogs that I paid $30 for. I called the store to see if I could return them~really. They don't want the frogs back but they'll give me store credit. That was a funny phone call.
9. Return line at Walmart (I'd rather poke my eye out.)
10. Hoping Santa brings me THIS or THIS or THIS. ;D

I do know that I am determined to sit back, relax and enjoy what is left of the Holiday season.
Happy Monday. May you have a productive week!

P.S. If any of you out there "stole by blog button" it was coded wrong. (oops!) I'd would greatly appreciate it if you would correct my mistake and re-steal my new button code. GRACIAS!

HUH?

Mommy, can I have a frisby beat? What the heck is a frisby beat? OH, silly mommy! I should have known...a crispy treat (rice crispy treat). Love kids' interpretations of words.
Up to my unwaxed eyebrows in dance recital crap...I mean stuff.:D See you tomorrow.

In the meantime, THIS collection is yummy-o! Perfect for late night present wrapping. I want THIS set (pic left).

Need a gift for a college student? THESE are fabio!

I swear you would wear a PINK Vicki's lounge set everyday if you owned one. Send "Santa" in to get one for you. WARNING: Sending "Santa" in this store may result in more than just a lounge set!:D

PEACE out!

It's Trendy Tuesday...Do You Dare?

Sparkles, sparkles everywhere.

This is a glitter polish you can share with your daughter and not look like an eight yr. old. I'm LOVING THIS polish. Subtle glitter fun! Wear it alone or with a hint of color underneath.

THIS little cutie could compliment the polish perfectly. Who doesn't adore a lip gloss pot? So cute!

Now That Is Just UGLY!

{We're supposed to be posing like a prom date.}
PARTY IN THE WALKER HOUSE! This weekend we kicked off the Holiday season by hosting an ugly Christmas sweater party at our house.
Good times! Good Food! Good folks! Good Laughs!

Every ugly sweater Christmas party has to have a white elephant gift exchange and a round of cheesy charades. The book is a totally innocent novel about wresting!
And the winners are....
The fabulous duo who went first class at Goodwill. David, the hole certainly adds an extra touch of class and Elaine...pearls...you fancy girl.

And...the couple who got creative. The gloves are a lovely embellishment Courtney and Gould, those are some pretty fancy red pants. You guys are feakin hilarious!

Plan your ugly sweater party today!

What we did: We met at our house, went OUT to eat (who has time to cook?!), came home and played cheesy games, served pie out of a box....EASY party fun!

Hope all who came had a good time. See you next year. And remember, all those ugly sweaters go on sale the day after Christmas. Or...you can just create your own~rock on puff paint!

Happy ugly sweater Christmas party planning!

Merry Mousie

Weekend Goodie!

I'm going to attempt to make THESE this weekend. So cute! Idea: wrap them up in individual boxes with a tag that reads: "Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse." Fun little treat for your kiddo's friends.

Happy FRIDAY everyone! Let the parties begin.

P.S. Don't laugh at me but the Christmas song playing is one of my favorites~hee hee!

Hello Mrs. Black

When in doubt, go BLACK!

Have you found your perfect little black dress yet?

P.S. Check out THESE fabulous ankle-breaking shoes~FABULOUS!

Santa's Arrival

In our house on December 1st Santa brings us Christmas Jammies, advent calendars and a special Christmas book. Funny thing-Kels is old enough now to know when Dec. 1 actually is. Years prior if "Santa" wasn't exactly prepared, the goods could come a day or two late. Nope, not this year. Yesterday "Santa" was out searching for advent calendars for an after school delivery! Walgreens...who knew. I don't generally frequent that store but I ended up getting like 1/2 my Christmas shopping done~funny. You should check it out!
Do you have any Christmas traditions at your house? Do please share.
p.s. Only two more rubbermaids to go and my halls will be decked. And just think, I have to take it all down~Maid??
