It's Been Real~Summer '09 Memories

Peace out summertime. We'll catch ya next year.

Dear Mr. DP,

Thank you so much for being there for me this summer. For getting me through all those road trips, late nights with family and friends and headaches due to going to bed too late, waking up too early, too much sun, fighting children, etc. You've been a nice drug but I have to say good bye.

xoxo

(BTW: For the record, I can count on one hand, okay maybe two, FINE...you win, 3 hands how many times I actually drank this tasty crap. What can I say, It's the miracle energy drink for me.)

It's FFF (Fabulous Fashion Friday)

Peep! Peep!

A little bit of vintage flair for my mini muffin.
I picked up these adorable shoes for my Lulu the other day at this amazing little vintage boutique (wink, wink). She has worn them two days in a row now and everyone has been stopping us and gooing over them~really. You'd think I was carrying a new born baby. If you would like to stop by this "boutique" go HERE. They'll even give you a "smile" sticker upon check out and the prices are unbeatable. They come in yellow-loved them!, pink, lime green. Warning...the $5 price tag could break the bank!
While you're at it, you might as well continue on the peep show with a pair of THESE for yourself. Peep shoes and red toes...cutie combo!
It's FRIDAY again. Enjoy!

Entertaining Delights

A little late nite surfing at potterybarn.com

Pretty cake stand.
Even makes Aunt Wanda's nasty crap fruit cake taste good. Okay so maybe not but at least it can be displayed pretty! Mmm...

Name cards...little cuties.
And since you make the assignments, you won't have to sit by hairy chest guy who has chronic halitosis, a hideous comb over and farts at the dinner table.
Wait a minute, who invited hairy chest guy anyway?

Beverages sure to impress!
I'm pretty sure every hostess must have a beverage dispenser. I'm not kidding. Just put water in it with lemon, strawberries and fresh mint and you will win the Hostess of the Year award.

I must have one of these!

AND...Someday I shall have a front porch that looks like this!

I'm sure most of you are familiar with PB prices~ouch! You can find satisfactory versions of all these pretty things for 1/2 the price at stores like Target (of course), TJ Maxx and Marshall's. Just to name a few.
Happy Entertaining!

Registration Open

I just opened registration for my fall dance classes.

And, as I always say...
DANCE ON!

Just Curious

My curiosity got the best of me. I've been wondering about this thing-a-ma-jig so I bought the one at Costco. You know, Costco always has the "value" package. Who doesn't appreciate a good value?:D On a scale of 1-5 I give it a 3. Maybe 3.5. The cleansing pads smell nice and my face felt supple (now there's a word for ya) upon completion. I don't know, I guess I want to be able to use my cleanser of choice so I still want THIS one.

Picked these babies up too. Pretty tasty. Slightly strange but tasty. My kids liked them too.

I'm out of night cream too. Anyone have any suggestions? Preferably one that tightens like a Botox injection and makes the face feel "supple"~hee hee!

It's Trendy Tuesday...Do You Dare?

My Boyfriend's Back!

First boyfriend jeans then the boyfriend sweater. Next? The boyfriend blazer. An oversized, slouchy jacket that keeps you oh-so-cozy on a chilly night. And rumor has it that it potentially has even more appeal if you actually steal it from your guy's and/or if you're me-husband's closet. Which, in a sense is completely retarded because the majority of the female population would look ridiculous wearing "our guy's" blazer! My suggestion: Go out and buy your own!

How should you wear it? Try the following:
A) Leggings
B) Slim denims
C) Pencil skirts

Accessorize with chains and you're good to go.

I just might be able to get in to this trend. Stretchy pants and a big fat blazer. Comfy! And guaranteed not to look frumpy if paired with an amazing pair of shoes like THESE. I tried them on. So cute!
Warning: Make sure you've just waxed your girlstache before attempting this trend.
P.S. THIS dress from the new Kate Spade line is absolutely delightful!

Gitty Up Partner

Ridiculously impractical in every way!

And they make their big debut. I'm quite certain I'm not the type of girl who is worthy to wear cowboy boots. Cow pies, Wranglers, country music and big bad Dodge trucks really aren't my style. However, I think it's pretty safe to assume that hot pink cowboy boots from Nords aren't particularly intended be used for horseback riding, barrel racing or county line dancing at the local bar. Regardless of their true purpose (pure fashion cuteness for me:D)...I LOVE my silly boots!
Cowgirl Conclusion: It's true. Cowboy boots really are comfortable!
(These were my Nords Anniversary sale purchase. My sis found them just in time! They sold out quickly. Who would have thought?)

BTW: I want THESE to be my next pair of cowboy boots. If anyone out there finds them for 90% off would you please let me know!

Paired with my Lucky Girl necklace I'm ready for the rodeo!

Do you want your own Lucky Girl necklace? They just might make a debut in my Etsy store. Stay tuned.

Have a howdy doody of a week!

It's FFF (Fabulous Fashion Friday)

Galoshes~ They are absolutely fashionista's for the beach!
No, I did not purposely pose like this. Peeps (my BFF) just snuck a pic when I wasn't paying attention.

BUT...

I would pose like this if I knew someone was taking my photo! Now all I need is a cape.

Note to self: Buy a cape.
Wait~if I wear a cape does that officially make me a "SUPER" mom? Or, do I have to bake cookies, enjoy reading time with my children and be president of the PTA to qualify for that title? I'd rather just wear the cape and pretend like I really do those things.:D
It's FRIDAY people. Take time to do nothing!

OR...go buy a cape!

Mrs. Princess Pookie's Social Calendar

First, let me share with you a picture collage made up of photos my talented photographer son took. It is not uncommon to mysteriously find pics such as these whenever I do a download.

Hmm...what's that a picture of? My pajamma BOTTOMS?
Love my Lulu.
Kels took this pic. He's famous for cutting heads off. Maybe he's trying to tell me something??
Notice Lu's purse. She's always carrying one. Usually filled with Polly Pockets and her "phone"~an empty PINK (my phone is pink) mint tin.

Trip to Ikea!
Prince Charming and I thought we could possibly make a "date night" out of it but the play area conveniently (for them!) posted a sign at the desk that read, "The play zone will be closing early tonight. Sorry for the inconvenience." Walking around Ikea with children who were eagerly expecting to be jumping in the blue balls. Now that's what I call fun. "Sorry for the inconvenience".....stupid Ikea. I'm never shopping there again. That is until I need a really cheap piece of furniture that I get to assemble myself, has missing parts and directions I don't understand. Did I already say stupid Ikea?

Hot pink paint! Bet ya wonder where this is going.

Thank you Daddy for making us this special breakfast treat.
Buy THIS pan. They're a total pain in the butt to make but it's fun for special occasions.

Is it MONDAY again already?

RE-DO

I've been meaning to post this for a while now but here's a redo of my redo in my bedroom. Tans, black and that super neato blue color that I still haven't figured out how to describe.
The "boutique" sign is what inspired this redo. Picked it up at an antique store (thanks Deb for "making me buy it:D). I got the shutters at a garage sale for $5 bucks and the mini suitcase was my mommas when she was a sassy teenager.

Don't think I'll be recreating this particular love story but I thought these would add some fun flavor.
Adoring the silhouette trend!

Leftover crap from my garage. Maybe some day I'll actually put pics in the frames.

Good Night...sleep tight! ZZZzzzzz....
