Fa La La La La...

Anyone else out there want a new pair of boobies for Chirstmas? Not that I'm an implant advocate but I could certainly do without the lift, roll and tuck every morning!:) Are you in need of some new dainties for the Holidays? THIS really is an absolute miracle! No matter the size, you'll find yourself some cleavage in one these babies!

Now to make a 180 degree subject switch....

Here are some random Princess Pookie CHRISTMAS features for you.

Easy breezy, fancy smancy, budget friendly gift wrapping. "Spool O Tulle" and jingle bells. Toole is super inexpensive and much more forgiving than ribbon to tie. Save your Jo Ann's Fabric coupon and you can get yourself a box of jingles for around $3.00. Spool O Tulle can be found HERE or at most craft stores $5.00ish per 25 yd spool.

Wondering what to do with all those Santa pictures. I actually put ours in frames and make them part of our Christmas tree ornaments. In 15 years this may not work but for now we enjoy seeing them on display. My sister made a special book for all of hers~GREAT memories!

SURPRISE! It's a pretty glass jar. Those of you who have been following my blog know that I adore a pretty glass jar. Just picked this one up from Marshall's for $10.00~SCORE! I have a number of these around the house filled with festive colored candy, Christmas balls, giant jingle bells, etc. Simply gorgeous!

So, this year I fianlly broke down and bowed down to my husband's 11 yr request of putting balls on the tree. For way too long I felt the tree had to be decorated a certain way. White lights only, ornaments hung in unison, bows here and there and viola the perfect tree. Not so much anymore. In fact, my 6yr old decorated the ENTIRE tree~really! He was so excited to get decorating this year. And it was so liberating for me to let him do it. (Okay so I did rehang a couple orniments but only a couple!) I really don't have personal feelings against the average Christmas ball, I guess I just couldn't ever find any that made me jump for joy. Well, this year Costco won the Princess Pookie Chrsitmas ball prize. Red & white polka dot orni's. ($30.00 for a large assortment of sizes and designs.) How could I pass these little darlings up? They look so cute on our tree and were definately the missing piece to the Christmas tree puzzle. My Prince Charming is so delighted!

Deck the halls with bows of holly... I LOVE ric rack. With it's vintage appeal, you'll find it in more than one place in my house.

We have lots of banisters in our house all wrapped up in {fake- not a huge fan of the fakey but....}pine bows. Hey, at least the wreath on the door is real! And due to the fakiness...pick yourself up a Christmas tree plug in. It totally {fakes} people out-for real! Our tree happens to be {fake} as well. Guests mistake it for a live tree all the time. Especially when I have one of these plugged in. NOTE: When using one of these make sure it's in a large space! My absolute favorite Holiday scent is a Bath and Body Works cinnamon stick plug in. Buy one, you won't be dissappointed!

Let us not forget the glassware for the Santa goodies! Target currently has some great versions of this. If you're a Granny, get your grandbabies a set. Ours came from our Grandma.

Here's my favorite Christmas decoration. The Santa is a traced version of my of my son's hand. He made this in his kindergarten class. It's a painting on a cupboard door. Clever Mrs. Smith! LOVE it!
AND...one of my favorite gifts to give...Photo books. These just arrived today. I made one for each of my kidos. I'm prepared to accept the fact that the photo book will not beat out the dolly house or train set excitement but in years to come, this will be one my kids will appreciate (I hope) and take with them. These were actually featured on the Oprah show a couple weeks ago so I got these particular ones for free from her website. I've made photo books previously from both Shutterfly and Snapfish. I prefer Shutterfly-it has more choices. Anway, these books run from $20 up to $50 and they are SOOOOO easy and fun to make. On both of the sites listed above you can create adorable cards for all occasions and may other thoughtful gifts. Our Christmas cards should be arriving from Shutterfly any day now!
So, there was a little Christmas this & that for you. Hopefully it sparked a little twinkle in your princess brain.

See you tomorrow for another FFF.

Welcome Home!

The Dancing Prince and Princess are back!
We got in late last night and I'm just too darn tired to think fashion. Here's the ONLY picture I took the whole time we were gone. I totally forgot my camera the night we danced (ugh!). I'm sure my hubs is thankful for that but I don't have a single pic of us dancing. Wait... I take my "too tired to think fashion" comment back. I cannot help but comment on the plethora of Christmas sweaters that can be found being worn in the South. Wowzers! We went to a special community Christmas program breakfast thingy and I'm pretty sure I was the only one not wearing mini jingle bells, red and green sequins, plaid bitty bows and poofy Santa's!
Tune in tomorrow for more Holiday fashion fun!

We're On TOUR!

Prince Charming and I have been invited to dance the night away in Tennessee from Dec. 7-9. (We pretend to be ballroom dancers.) I know you'll miss me princesses but, I shall return Wednesday. In the meantime, enjoy the dancing clips below. Don't tell anyone but I stole a couple fancy moves out of Lance & Lacey's jitterbug routine for our routine. Watch for the flip Lacey does in the beginning. YEP...I'm going to attempt it and most likely kill myself in the process. Neck brace city here we come! NOTE: Before watching these clips you'll need to scroll all the way to the bottom of my blog and hit pause on the music player.

Watch below to see one of my favorite dances of the season.

How many of you out there are Dancing with the STARS fans? Prince charming and I pretend like we're good enough for the show~ We don't need no stinkin' trophy!

It's FFF (Fabulous Fashion Friday)

GLITTER~Shimmer~ gLitZ galore I can't get enough I want MORE MORE MORE!

It's the Holiday's (duh...how many times have I reminded you) & there's no better time than now to pull out the glam and shine! Does this mean that you should pull out your daughter's princess roll on glitter and shmear it all over yourself?~ if it makes you feel better, YES! However, when using glitter you must proceed with caution. Too much = I'm a drag queen in training. It's all about the size. Let's stay away from the chunky monkey glitters that are found in the craft isle and stick with "Shimmers"-the grown up glitter-instead!

Where do I like to shimmer? EVERYWHERE~what princess doesn't? I like to use shimmer powder for the eyes, something like THIS. THIS Shimmer bronzer for the cheeks-shade: GOLDEN! Shimmer highlighter for the tip of my nose, chin, forehead, and near outer eye area (just an itty bitty dab). I LOVE THIS highlighter. It's so gently sweet and makes you glow the night away. NOTE: Out of everything I'm featuring in my post today, the shimmer highlighter is the MUST have. Scared of the price? It lasts forever and ever and ever! THIS spray on shimmer is the bom! Buy it! I promise you'll like it. However, trying to decide if you want gold or silver...you're on your own. Good luck! I love a touch of gold for the lips and I'm totally digging THIS new polish. And last but certainly not least, shimmer for the chest or decollat....ya right! I can't even pronounce it let alone spell it!

So there you have it. I truly believe that EVERY princess on the face of the planet (that would be all of you) needs a little shimmer in their life.

Pardon me for a moment princesses, my daughter is being far too quiet~ I'm a little nervous.

REALLY? The purple permanent marker? Serves me right for blogging when I should be spending quality time with her.

Where was I? Oh yes...
Here are some perfect compliments to your Holiday SHIMMER

The Dress

The Shoes (my personal favorite!)

The Hair

The Accessories

THIS dress and THIS dress are definitely bringing sexy back!
OMG (that's Oh My Gosh) I'm having a love affair with THESE hooker shoes. Yes, that's right. I just called them hooker shoes. I know you know what I'm talk'n bout.

Did anybody catch the Victoria's Secret fashion show the other night? (Like any of us would admit if we did right?!) Normally I would just roll my eyes at it and pass it by but when I came across it they were walking down the runway to the song "Human" by the Killers so I couldn't help but stop and watch. Aside from the perfect bitty butts, bouncy boobs and thighs the size of my big toe, I actually thought the show was kind of fun. Oh, and Usher is always a pleasure to watch. Smooth moves & a cutie smile~not as cute as my Prince Charming's smile though! Not that I want to walk down a runway with wings the size of a woolly mammoth attached to my back but, how fun would it be to have rose petals flying at you while walking down a diamond filled stage with the perfect hair and make up blowing kisses at a drooling crowd? AND get paid a gazillion dollars to do it! Sign me up! Can I wear my sweatpants? As my husband watched the "fashions" I took note of the make up and hair. Loved the make up. Fairly simple but so glowy and shiny. I want to know what highlighter they're using.

P.S.While I was searching for photos for this post I ran in to THIS. WHAT the...? DON'T buy this!

The SNooPy snOOp!

No DOUBT....My parents certainly deserved the trophy when it came to Santa Christmas gifts but if you're talking about hiding the gifts "Santa" had purchased before delivering them, they pretty much got an F-. However, they taught me a lesson at a very young age.

I was five years old and in the kindergarten and KangaROOs were the coolest shoes to have on the block. I specifically remember totally wanting a purple pair with the zipper pocket so that I would have a place to store my pennies to buy penny candy~remember that~penny candy! Hmm....those were the days. Pop in to the local Maverik for a refill and a little brown bag of penny sweetness. My favorites were the sour watermelons and Swedish fish. Someday when I open up my own store, I'm totally going to have penny candy. But not in the open top box. I'll have it in a fancy bubbly glass jar. I LOVE a pretty candy jar. Click HERE to see some photos of my favorite candy store-make sure you click See the store. It is such a happy store but you definitely won't find any penny candy here. More like $4.50 per bite candy! Anyway... (that was a bit of a tangent?! Sorry.) So, a couple weeks before Christmas I spied some shopping bags in my parent's bedroom and I decided to take a little peek. (My older sister taught me at a young age how to peek. And even though I found gifts here and there, I continued to believe in Santa! I don't know, I guess I thought Santa must have periodically delivered gifts to my parents closet due to lack of storage?) Another tangent..back to story... And what did I find? The most stunning pair of purple zipper "Roos" that came with a "make you run faster" money back guarantee. They were so rad! (I'm pretty sure that was the term my sister would use back in the day to describe uber cool.) I remember being so excited and I immediately started day dreaming about wearing them-for real! I totally remember this! I patiently waited for Christmas morning to come so that I could officially join the cool Roos gang. Well Christmas morning came and...DENIED! What? Are you kidding me? Where are my shoes that will instantly claim my fame to popularity? Actually I don't recall being completely devastated that Santa cut me off but I do remember wondering what the heck happened to those shoes???? Hey Mom...are they still hiding in the bottom of your closet? (wouldn't surprise me!)

I think KangaROOS are still pretty KangaKOOL! Since I was deprived in my childhood, I might just have to pick up myself a pair of THESE. Now that I'm Santa, I can buy whatever I want-right? :) I know all of you princesses out there are snOOpers too! Got any good stories for us??

Welcome to my midnight (and sometimes noon and 3pm pick-me-up) DELIGHT...

If you like peppermint this sweet treat will make your jingle bell rock! I serve this festive treat at princess gatherings during the Holidays. (FYI: I have found that dudes don't generally dig the peppermint froo froo.) However, when serving for an event place in an 8oz. wide mouth (short) CLEAR plastic cup (no flower paper dixie bowls please) and garnish with hot fudge, crushed candy canes and a mini candy cane on the side. Wanna get the fancy smancy award? Serve with RED spoons. EASY CHEESY and your BFF's will be super impressed! Enjoy!

Whoopsie Daisy...
Forgot to feature my new bow shoes in yesterday's post. TARGET~ $19.99 and they too could be yours. They come in black as well. How do you make heels a little more comfy? Add these dudettes (pic. right) . Do they make your heels comfy enough to make you want to run a marathon? Heck NO, but who would want to run a marathon anyway? :) However, a little extra padding (in more than just the shoes if you know what I mean~wink) never hurts. These come in a variety of colors, shapes, and styles and can be purchased in the NORDY's hosiery section. While you're in the hosiery section, you might as well check out THESE sexy mamas.

Til next time...go buy yourself a new shade of lipstick.

Gift Giving Thoughts

I got this e-mail from one of my good teaching girly friends (we taught at the same high school in California) and I really liked what she had to say. So, with her permission, I want to share her message with you.
From My Friend, Princess Dee...
I just watched the film "What Would Jesus Buy"? and am convinced...so, this Christmas our little family will shop consciously...nothing from mega stores or malls...nothing from foreign countries that do not have union representation...nothing unsustainable- and we will be focusing on shopping not only locally, but buying goods from local artists and craftspeople, "things to do" tickets/gift certs for plays, events, restaurants, museums, etc...things we can enjoy together.

I'm just so sick of feeling overwhelmed by the holidays and of the debt and guilt (over who is making the stuff and how they are treated) that comes with it all. We don't have to do it, we really don't. I think it will make Christmas and Christmas shopping more enjoyable- being able to have our limited Christmas funds go directly to the people who create the products/services. Anyone care to join us? Even if you aren't interested--pass it on, maybe this idea can make someone else's Christmas more enjoyable and true.

Thank you so much Dee for sharing this EXCELLENT idea. May it make all of us think a little more about our gift giving!

Where to Start: One of my favorite websites these days is Esty.com. It is a site specifically set up for people from all walks of life to sell their handmade goods. This site gives me sheer browsing pleasure. However, if you're not looking for something specific, the search can be a little overwhelming. If you haven't ever taken the opportunity to browse Etsy.com, I highly recommend doing so. Start by typing something like handbags or vintage earrings in the search box and you're on your way! Here are some things I am currently eyeing on the site:

I really do hope you'll take some time this year to put a little extra thought into your gifts~no pressure right?:D One of my favorite ideas is gift certificates to local things in the area. Also, if you aren't a Martha Stewart, it's always great to support those who are trying to be!

Happy Holiday shopping from Mrs. Princess Pookie!

P.S. Since my post from yesterday, I can't seem to get my mind off THESE shoes (dark silver-yesterday I thought I wanted black). I'm obsessing over them! I really need to get a life and end my on-line browsing and go clean my bathroom! Can Mrs. Claus put a gift for herself under the tree?

It's Trendy Tuesday...Do You Dare?

Bitty bows and biggy bows are sprouting up everywhere. Whether you are a flamboyantly frilly girly girl or a delicately dynamite diva, today's Trendy Tuesday is fabulously feminine~wrapped up in a deliciously adorable little (or if you're me, not so little) "BOW" . The location of these precious princesses can be found on just
about anything from shoes, accessories, necklines, hair bobbles, and handbags. If you or another princess friend are in need of a little feminizing, this is the trend to wrap up in a bow and take home. An itty bitty bow is an absolute miracle worker for the cargo pant/sport bra /man T loving princess.

Princess Pookie's Beautiful Bow Finds
THIS dainty little dity is absolutely delicious for the Holidays! How would I wear it? With a white fitted T and leggings! THESE little flats are keepers too~black ones please. Comfy and cute...BINGO! Oh Geesy, I've fainted and gone to shoe heaven...someone please host a bake sale in honor of THESE cupcakes. And THIS is just way TOO cute to pass up! Note to Prince Charming: THESE please!

P.S. It's December 1st. Did Santa find your house too?
